Welcome to Backfield Woodworking Co. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the purchase of our handcrafted woodworking products. By accessing or using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Understanding Terms & Conditions
At Backfield Woodworking Co., we recognize the significance of Terms and Conditions (T&C) in establishing the legal framework for interactions between our visitors or customers and our online platform. T&C serve as the governing principles that dictate the rights and obligations of both the website owner and the individuals engaging with the site.
1. Who Can Use This Website
This website is intended for use by individuals who are in a position with purchasing power and reside in Canada or the United States. By using this site, you confirm that you meet these criteria. If you’re using this site on behalf of a business or organization, you must have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Orders and Payment
We accept secure payment through major credit cards and other methods listed at checkout. All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.
Payment is due in full at the time of order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including errors in pricing or availability.
Custom orders require a 50% deposit before production is carried out. This is to cover the cost of materials and other production related expenses. The subsequent 50% is due upon completion of the product.
3. Orders and Modifications
Most of our products are made to order. Once production begins, orders cannot be modified or cancelled beyond the 24-hour window described in our Return Policy.
If you need a custom size or variation, please contact us before placing your order.
4. Product Descriptions and Availability
We aim to provide accurate descriptions and photographs of our products, but please note that natural wood varies in grain, tone, and texture. Each item is unique and may not be identical to the images shown.
We reserve the right to update or discontinue products, pricing, or features at any time without prior notice.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping details are provided in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on production schedules, location, or carrier delays. We are committed to keeping you informed on shipping times and any related changes.
We are not responsible for shipping delays outside of our control, including weather, customs, or carrier disruptions.
6. Warranties
All of our furniture is built with care and intended for everyday use. We offer a limited 1-year warranty against structural defects under normal residential use. This does not cover damage due to misuse, neglect, exposure to moisture or heat, or modifications after delivery.
If you believe your item is defective, please contact us with photos and proof of purchase.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including logos, product images, text, and designs — is the intellectual property of Backfield Woodworking Co. and may not be used, copied, or distributed without our prior written consent.
8. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate user access to the website at any time, without notice, if we believe these Terms have been violated or for any reason we deem necessary to protect our business, customers, or website integrity.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of this website or our products.
