Handcrafted from solid ash, The Sprout is a slim, wall-mounted bookshelf designed to give kids easy and independent access to the stories they love. Its profile takes up minimal space, while the gentle curves, rounded edges, and soft scalloped top and bottom keep the form warm, safe, and approachable.
Each shelf is built with dado joinery for long-term strength and stability, and mounts securely to the wall using recessed keyhole slots—no visible hardware, no shifting, means a sturdy structure safe from being pulled loose by curious hands.
When made in Ash (pictured) the shelf is finished in a white-wash stain to reduce yellowing and sealed with a hard-wax oil for durability, The Sprout is made to handle daily use. Despite its slim 3” depth, it holds roughly 35–40 front-facing books, keeping covers visible and inviting for young readers.
